The summer I spent in North Dakota found the locals shoplifting liquid paper and huffing it. We had to lock up the lawnmower so the local kids wouldn't inhale the gasoline fumes. Smoking low-grade Canadian dope was the high end, the Chateauneuf-de-Pape '67 of buzzes, even if it didn't bring with it the halucinations and giddiness of paint thinner and glue. Ah - good times.
